This is a video of Spencer L flying his 100 inch Kinetic to a new dynamic soaring world speed record of 399 MPH at Weldon, CA on 12-22-2009. Sææællllllll ! ! !

Ég skil ekki hvers vegna menn eru að smíða sér þotur... Spencer flýgur módelsvifflugu á 468 MPH hraða sem jafngildir 753 km/klst.

Re: DS - 399 mph
Sennilega af sömu ástæðu og sumir smíða skalamódel, svifflugur eða þyrlur.

Ég hlóð niður frummyndinni sem er um 750 Mb og horfði á flugið á ca 1900 x 1200 24" skjá
(HP LP2475W). Þannig gat ég fylgt vélinni mest allan tímann. Flott!

Hmm.... Af hverju dettur mér í hug þvottur í þvottavél??

Svona til gamans þá má nefna það að Opus er smíðaður fyrir DS flug.
You can begin to see that the noise in the lift accelerometer isn't just noise; there's some smoothness to it. But you can see it better when we zoom in to just one DS circuit. Note that the peak G reading here of 67 Gs. There are other higher Gs measured elsewhere in the data. The sensor is specified to have a range of 70 Gs in that axis, and the real measurement range is around 80-85 Gs, which was pinged a few times in this flight. That's a lot of wing loading.
