Lithium sellurnar innihalda sitt eigið súrefni, alveg eins og flugeldar. Efnaferlið við hleðslu/afhleðslu er oxun/afoxun.
Ef kviknar í þá er ekkert sem hægt er að nota til að slökkva!!!! Það brennur nema þér takist að stöðva sjálfsíkveikjuna með miklum þrýstingi eða kælingu en slíkt er ekki raunhæft nema með einhverjum svaka græjum (held ég.. hvað segja fræðingarnir í hópnum?)

Sex amperstunda pakki eins og þessi gæji er með í (fyrrverandi) þyrlunni er fj. stór bomba og brennur lengi og vel eins og lýsingin ber með sér.

Slökkvitæki/vatnsslöngu á maður að hafa nærtækt til að slökkva í eldi sem kviknar út frá þessum bruna ef maður er óheppinn.
Þegar maður hleður Li/x batterí á maður að taka þau úr vélinni/bílnum og koma þeim fyrir á stað þar sem er í lagi ef þær brenna. Sjálfur er ég með gamlan kleinupott sem ég hef á miðju bílskúrsgólfinu og ekkert fyrir ofan sem kviknað gæti í. Brunavari beint fyrir ofan og tvö slökkvitæki við hendina og ég fer ekki úr húsi á meðan.
Ætti eiginlega að útbúa þannig að ég sé með pottinn fyrir utan hús. Dríf í því núna að búa til "hleðslustöð fyrir utan þvottahúsinnganginn. Á eitthvað af steinhellum sem ég raða kringum pottinn sem ég svo hvolfi yfir sellurnar meðan þær hlaðast.
Þarf líka að drífa í að búa til "klemmuna" sem ég er búinn að hanna (í huganum) sem ég set á sellurnar og tengi sírenu sem ég á. Það fyrsta sem gerist ef svona sellur eru að springa er nefnilega að þær bólgna út.

Mikilvægasta öryggið fyrir utan allar sjálfsagðar öryggisráðstafanir tel ég nú að sé að vera með hleðslutæki af góðri og vandaðri gerð. Sjálfur er ég að hugsa um Schulze-electronic tæki sem næstu fjárfestingu. Það á að vera toppurinn, dótið frá þeim.

Svo má ekki gleyma að hleðsla á blý- og nickelgeymum getur líka valdið íkveikju!!!! Þótt það sé ekki sama dramatík yfir sjálfum brunanum.

sjálfur er ég nú með Li-Ion í þyrlunum mínum fyrir móttakara og servó og ég nenni ekki að standa í því að taka pakkan úr fyrir hverja hleðslu, sérstaklega þarsem mér var sagt að það mætti hlaða þessi batterí jafnvel þósvo það sé bara búið að afhlaða þau að hluta, þannig að ég hleð oftast milli flug(a) og það væri of mikið vesen að vera að taka þau úr og setja þau í kleinupott í hvert skipti. Ég nota líka bara hleðslutækið sem fylgdi með batteríunum og framleiðandi krefst að enungis það sé notað (duralite)

en að sjálfsögðu myndi maður hafa fyrir þessu ef maður væri með lipo til að knýja vélina sjálfa áfram, held að þau batterí séu líka eitthvað líklegri til að valda svona óþægjindum, en kannski er það bara óskhyggja hjá mér.

Er ekki hægt að nota hana til að bæði kveikja á sírenu og slökkva á hleðslutækinu? Á myndbandi sem ég hef séð þá túttnar þetta út og springur á örfáum sekúndum

Þettta er svakalegt... hefur sjálfsagt ekki skemmt fyrir að vera með 6000 mah til að brenna :rolleyes:

Only use chargers designed specifically for Lithium Polymer battery.
Double check the charger, number of cell selection setting, and mAh before every charge.
Only charge the batteries on a non-flammable non-conducting surface, such as bare cement floor.
Do not charge the battery inside the model plane, inside of ones car, home furniture or wood floor/carpet, or anywhere near flammable material.
Monitor the charging of the battery pack at all times. Do not leave the battery unattended.
Place a fire alarm above the Li-Poly battery charging location. Follow the fire alarm installation instructions.
After a crash, inspect the battery pack for damage. Discard the pack outdoors if there is any sign of damage.
Store the pack fully charged in a cool and dry location and out of reach of children.
Do not assemble packs in series into parallel packs, as mismatch could result in fire.
Do not carry or leave Lithium Polymer/Ion with model fuels such as Petrol/Gas or Methanol
Do not store Lithium Polymer battery inside a car.
Do not short the battery as it may catch on fire. If you accidentally short a battery, place it in open space and observe the battery for 10 minutes. It may swell up and possibly even catch on fire.
Do not discharge Lithium Polymer battery below voltage according to the number of cells in series in the following chart.



Before charging, your Lithium Polymer should have this minimum voltage. Check battery pack voltage before charging S = Series, P = Parallel

Minimum voltage
1 Cell 1SXP = 3.0V
2 Cells in series 2SXP = 6.0V
3 Cells in series 3SXP = 9.0V
4 Cells in series 4SXP = 12.0V


Check your charger for safety. After charging, check battery with a digital voltmeter, voltage should read between Min and Max: Full charged pack should voltage between these numbers:
Minimum full charge to Maximum full charge
1 Cell = 4.16V to 4.23V
2 Cells in series = 8.32V to 8.45V
3 Cells in series = 12.48V to 12.68V
4 Cells in series = 16.64V to 16.9v


Maximum discharge: Do not discharge your Lithium Polymer battery below the voltage listed below, no load and load voltage. Max Discharge Voltage for Li-poly cells and packs
